Tube of Dermatica Skincare Subscription Who for: Anyone who wants to improve their skin First impressions: There is not enough product for a month After one week: My skin loves it, I can fell a difference in texture After one month: TBC Stockists: Dermatica I have watched Caroline Hirons rave about the service and the product – well with us being in locked down I thought that this was the right time to try it.  Once you have created an account on their website, you need to answer questions regarding your skin and what you would like to achieve, you also need to upload photos of you right and left side as well as full face.  You then get a tube of their cream especially made for you.  Mine contains Tretinoin 0.025% and Niacinamide 4%.  I have never tried either of these two ingredients and was shocked how my skin reacted – not in a bad way to them but actually loved them.  I felt rather than saw a difference in my skin the next morning, it felt smoother and soft

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Product: Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Who for: Anyone who wants the look of a gel liner with using a brush First impressions: Lovely point that delivers the right thickness of line After one week : Lasts all day After one month: TBC Stockists: Harvey Nichols, Marc Jacobs Beauty, John Lewis, I had been sent this from Glamour Beauty Club to try.  This gel liner gives the perfect line and can go in close to the top lashes, meaning that you can create a thick or thin line depending on how you feel.  It can be applied to the waterline and can be used to tightline creating the look of ticker, fuller lashes.  I had worried that it would irritate my eyes as some liners have done in the past.  This didn’t.  It is waterproof and came off easily with the Curél Gel Cleanser that I am currently using.  I believe that the full-size crayon has a built-in sharpener in order

Who for: Anyone who wants a staple eye palette that can create different looks First impressions: The shades are lovely I am just scared in which order to use them After one week: I love the ability to use the shadows separately After one month: TBC Stockists: Benefit, Debenhams, Lookfantastic, House of Fraser, CultBeauty, Boots, John Lewis I had bought this as I wanted to wear eyeshadow for a family event and wasn’t sure what I was wearing clothes wise, so I wanted a neutral eye palette, this is it.  It is a palette that should be in everyone’s arsenal as each eyeshadow can be worn individually, or as two complimentary shades or as three, but the ultimate look is as the four together.  The pigment gives you the option to have a subtle barely there or a very noticeable colour to your eyes by building up the colour.  For me this is great as I gain confidence in applying eyeshadow, I can increase the intensity of the colour that I am applying.  T

Who for: Anyone and everyone First impressions: The shimmer scares me After one week: I have fell in love with the palette After one month: TBC Stockists: Huda, Boots, FeelUnique, CultBeauty, Harvey Nichols I chose the light palette as I haven’t really worn eyeshadow for a few years and had hoped that this and another palette would reignite my fire with regards to experiment.  I also had a reason as my eldest son was/is due to graduate university this year (with coronavirus we are not sure if or when he will).  And I wanted to look my best for his photos.  I feared how the shimmer would look on me and I shouldn’t have been as they are so beautiful and blend so easily.  I didn’t clean up under my eye in these photos, there wasn’t much drop off and it didn’t irritate my eyes which I was worried about.  I think I will be trying more palettes in the future.  In the picture below I started with the central pale colour all over the eye lid from lash line to brow
