MAC Eyeshadow - Expensive Pink

Image
This is a great everyday eyeshadow. I like to apply it with my fingers blending from outer corner to inner corner. If I want a more defined look, I will use a blending brush around the edges. Using a pencil brush to apply it to the upper lash line and then what is left on the brush to the lower water line.

M.A.C. Eye shadow Pallette Burgundy Times 9

Image
This is part of the Golden Hour kit where the eye palette was the only item along with the makeup bag were the ones you know.  This is a brilliant everyday eye palette to create Ariosto eye looks.  I am not very  adventurous and am only wearing one eyeshadow at a time.  They look great on their own. I use the centre colour to create an eyeliner with or without another colour from the palette.  Wonderful colour payoff with minimal drop off. I will post pictures soon

M.A.C. Eyeshadow Amber Lights

Image
Product: M.A.C. Eyeshadow Amber Lights Who for: Anyone and everyone First impressions: Very shimmery After one week: Perfect for everyday wear After one month: So adaptable Stockists: MAC Cosmetics, Boots, John Lewis This was one of the products from the Summer Vibes Kit from MAC only available at Boots.  I am very wary of wearing eye shadows – the drop off getting into my eyes as they can irritate my eyes.  I was also worried hat as a woman of a certain age shimmery eye shadows on hooded eyes might not work.  I was wrong.  It can be swiped over as a single colour, or you can build the intensity of the colour to create a smoky eye.  It can also be used in the centre of the upper eye lid to provide highlight when used with matte shadows.  It can be applied using fingers or brushes depending on what finish and look you are wanting to create.

Benefit Easy Smokin' Eyes Palette

Image
Who for: Anyone who wants a staple eye palette that can create different looks First impressions: The shades are lovely I am just scared in which order to use them After one week: I love the ability to use the shadows separately After one month: TBC Stockists: Benefit, Debenhams, Lookfantastic, House of Fraser, CultBeauty, Boots, John Lewis I had bought this as I wanted to wear eyeshadow for a family event and wasn’t sure what I was wearing clothes wise, so I wanted a neutral eye palette, this is it.  It is a palette that should be in everyone’s arsenal as each eyeshadow can be worn individually, or as two complimentary shades or as three, but the ultimate look is as the four together.  The pigment gives you the option to have a subtle barely there or a very noticeable colour to your eyes by building up the colour.  For me this is great as I gain confidence in applying eyeshadow, I can increase the intensity of the colour that I a...

Huda Beauty Nude Obsession Light Eye Palette

Image
Who for: Anyone and everyone First impressions: The shimmer scares me After one week: I have fell in love with the palette After one month: TBC Stockists: Huda, Boots, FeelUnique, CultBeauty, Harvey Nichols I chose the light palette as I haven’t really worn eyeshadow for a few years and had hoped that this and another palette would reignite my fire with regards to experiment.  I also had a reason as my eldest son was/is due to graduate university this year (with coronavirus we are not sure if or when he will).  And I wanted to look my best for his photos.  I feared how the shimmer would look on me and I shouldn’t have been as they are so beautiful and blend so easily.  I didn’t clean up under my eye in these photos, there wasn’t much drop off and it didn’t irritate my eyes which I was worried about.  I think I will be trying more palettes in the future.  In the picture below I started with the central pale colour all over the e...

Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion Original

Image
Travel size tube of Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion Original Who for: Anyone who wants their eyeshadow to last all day and to be vibrant First impressions: Looks like any ordinary primer After one week: Eyeshadows look great and don’t crease After one month: To be updated Stockists: Urban Decay, LookFantastic, Debenhams, John Lewis, Selfridges, FeelUnique, Boots, House of Fraser I don’t wear eyeshadow as much as I used to as I am a homebody – my look when I go out is eyeliner and mascara.   Also because of my dry eye and MGD I find wearing eyeshadow difficult as the fallout makes my eyes very sore and bloodshot.   I bought this as I wanted to wear some eyeshadow and had hoped that this would prevent any problems with my eyes.   It did and the eyeshadows not only stayed on all day but looked more vibrant and defined than without.   A small amount and I mean a small amount either applied with fingers or a brush goes along way. ...

BeautyPie Wondercolour Longwear Creamshadow Sticks - Steely Taupe and Velvet

Image
👀 (L) BeautyPie Steely Taupe Wondercolour Longwear Cream Shadow Stick (R) BeautyPie Velvet Wondercolour Longwear Cream Shadow Stick  Who for: A smudge proof, crease proof matte cream matte eyeshadow First impressions: They seem darker in the bullet with a slight shimmer After one week: The most perfect cream eyeshadow I have used After one month: It lasts and doesn’t crease Stockists: BeautyPie Because of my Dry Eye and MGD, I have had to stop wearing powder shadows.  I wanted a matte cream eyeshadow that wouldn’t budge, or crease and I think I found it in these shadows.  They are creamy, easy to apply straight from the bullet or with a brush.  They can be blended to create a smoky eye or patted onto the eyelid using a finger to create a light wash of colour.  They can be worn together or separately.  Once applied they didn’t crease or smudge or move as some eyeshadows have done.  I still had them on when I was completing ...
