M.A.C. Extreme Dimension 24 hour Kajal - Black

Image
Some of the items in the M.A.C. Faves  Let’s start with a moan. If only they did this in green, blue, purple, brown or grey then this would be my go-to eyeliner. This is a soft pencil that can be worn smudge or not. When I feel like being a bit goth-looking, this is the eyeliner I use. Not only lining the top lashes and waterline but also the lower lashes and waterline. When I want to smudge it, I use a small pencil brush.

Lancôme idole Liner

Image
Why do I try liquid liners when I know that they will creep into the lines I have on my eyelids.  Will I ever learn probably not.  This did it too.  Even if I put a base on my eyelid.  Don’t get me wrong it’s a great eyeliner is just not for me.  I have tried them all over the years and they all do the same.  The tip can create a fine liner or a thick line depending on the angle you hold the tip to your eye.  The fibre tip does not drag along the eye line.  It creates a smooth line that lasts all day.

BeautyPie Deluxe Precision Liquid Eyeliner - Black

Image
Product: BeautyPie Deluxe Precision Liquid Eyeliner - Black Who for: Anyone and everyone First impressions: Lovely felt tip nib After one week: Not sure After one month: Must be me Stockists: BeautyPie My go to look is eyeliner, mascara and brows.  I had hoped this would be the one especially to help create the perfect flick.  As you can see on the photo that I put it on my hand it wicked up the fine lines that I have,  It did the same with my eyelids which made it look like I had been crying.  I tried it with an eyeshadow primer, powder you name it I tried and I still had the same problem.  So liquid liners are not for me.  This did apply smoothly and last but I just have wrinkly hooded eye lids.  It great as it can be used to create the perfect flick, thin and thick lines.

The Quick Flick - Grand Point, Intense Black

Image
Product: The Quick Flick Who for: Anyone who wants a flick but cannot do them First impressions: Hope you can see the flick over the hooded eye After one week: Its great gives that polished look After one month: Simple quick and easy look Stockists: Superdrug  I am envious of those who can o the perfect flick day in day out as I cannot.  I have tried numerous times to do it and it just does not work.  What I like about this is that you can get different thickness and colours – I bought the grand point in intense black.  As it is a stamp you can place it in various positions at the outer corner of the eye to create different looks not just the position of the flick but always the width of the line drawn afterwards.  This should be in everyone’s arsenal as it works with every time of fashion – jeans and T-shirt, smart casual, casual and work wear.

M.A.C. Eye Pencil Coffee Brown

Image
Product: M.A.C. Eye Pencil - Coffee Brown Who for: Anyone and everyone who wants a change from black First impressions: Lovely rich colour After one week: My new black After one month: My new go to eyeliner Stockists: MAC Cosmetics, Boots, John Lewis This is the final piece from the Summer Vibes Kit exclusively available from Boots.  It is a great alternative black eyeliner.  It is brilliant tight liner too.  The creaminess of the eyeliner makes it a dream to apply above the lashes without dragging and in both the top and bottom waterline.  Once applied it can be smudged for a softer look or left alone for a stronger look.  It does not budge.  It’s a great eyeliner to any look that you might be wearing – jeans and t-shirt or smart, even smart casual.

Charlotte Tilbury Rock 'n' Kohl – Bedroom Black and Barbarella Brown

Image
Product: Charlotte Tilbury Rock 'n' Kohl – Bedroom Black and Barbarella Brown   Who for: Anyone who wants a great eyeliner and able to create a smokey eye.   First impressions: It is very creamy.   After one week: Does not smudge.   After one month: Easy to blend to create smokey eye.   Stockists: Charlotte Tilbury, CultBeauty, FeelUnique, Harrods, John Lewis, SpaceNK   OK I am a Benefit girl but sometimes I like to try new eyeliners – Fenty and Haus Labs.  And I have tried her Light moisturiser so why not try her eyeliner.  It does not irritate my eyes, last longer does not smudge.  I tried both the Barbella Brown and Bedroom Black.  I used them both in the tightline and the top lash line and did not suffer sore eyes.  It removed easily with Simple Micellar Water without me rubbing or scrubbing my lash line.  Though these pictures look like the same eyeliner they are not.  The next colour ...

Haus Labs Eye-Dentify Gel Pencil Eyeliner - Street

Image
Product: Haus Labs Eye-Dentify Gel Pencil Eyeliner - Street Who for: Anyone and everyone who wears make-up. First impressions: Great Colour After one week: Brilliant   After one month: A dream   Stockists: Haus Labs, Amazon   I bought this shade as I was having a ‘Am I too old to wear black eyeliner’ moment as I either line my eyes all around or just line the top lashes and tightline.  Yes, I tight line even though I have dry eye as I like the look and am incredibly careful on the eyeliners I use – I have found cheaper brands do cause me trouble.  But this did not, and I love the way my eyes look.  This is he colour I wear almost every day as to me grey is the perfect neutral; I even have pale grey nails (more later).  This applies like a dream and lasts all day without smudging.  Eye make-up remover removes it easily without tugging or rubbing hard around the eye area.  The only issue I have is that the best way to b...

Fenty Beauty Flypencil Longwear Pencil Eyeliner - BankTank

Image
Product: Fenty Beauty Flypencil Longwear Pencil Eyeliner – BankTank   Who for: Anyone who wants smudge and water-resistant long wear eyeliner   First impressions : Like the colour   After one week: Creamy and does not tug my eye area   After one month: Brilliant for autumn   Stockists: Fenty Beauty, Boots, Harvey Nichols   I bought this as I wanted a change from the Benefit Blue and black eye liner.  I picked this colour as I have hazel eyes and hoped it would enhance them which it does.  I like the fact that it has a matte finish once it has dried down, that was a bonus.  It is very creamy and draws on the eyelid smoothly without dragging which is great as I have found that my eye lashes and skin can be sore when I am having trouble with my dry eye.  I found that it irritated my waterline when I applied it but that could be because I was having a really bad day with my dry eye so I apply it to upper and low...

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon - Blacquer

Image
Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Product: Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Who for: Anyone who wants the look of a gel liner with using a brush First impressions: Lovely point that delivers the right thickness of line After one week : Lasts all day After one month: TBC Stockists: Harvey Nichols, Marc Jacobs Beauty, John Lewis, I had been sent this from Glamour Beauty Club to try.  This gel liner gives the perfect line and can go in close to the top lashes, meaning that you can create a thick or thin line depending on how you feel.  It can be applied to the waterline and can be used to tightline creating the look of ticker, fuller lashes.  I had worried that it would irritate my eyes as some liners have done in the past.  This didn’t.  It is waterproof and came off easily with the Curél Gel Cleanser that I am currently using.  I believe that the full-size crayon has a...

Revolution The Liner

Image
Revolution The Liner Who for: Anyone who wants to accentuate their lashes First impressions: Fine tip that can create different widths After one week: Great for the flick and fine lines After one month: Like the ability to create different looks Stockists : Revolution Beauty, Superdrug I bought this as I wanted to create a flick and I didn’t have my favourite Benefit Roller Liner.   This is a great alternative.   I like that I can get really close to my upper lashes and that I can create a thin line or thick line depending on how I hold the pen.   The ability to use the tip to create the perfect flick is great.

Benefit BADGal Bang 24 hour Eye Pencil - Blue

Image
Pencil and packaging of Benefit BADgal Bang 24 Hour Eye Pencil in Blue Who for: Anyone who wants an eyeliner that stays put First impressions: Lovely rich dark blue After one week: Makes my hazel eye colour more green After one month: Lasts doesn’t smudge and emphasises my eyes Stockists: Benefit, John Lewis, Debenhams I have in the past used coloured eyeliners but have always gone back to either black or brown.  I liked but not love the They’re Real Eyeliner, I found I had issues with the green, blue and purple eyeliners.  I wasted more on a sheet of tissue than I had put on my eye.  They would release product when not in use and would break off when I applied them.  When I saw that Benefit had released a new eyeliner, I couldn’t wait for my Brow Wax and Tint appointment to try it.  Emma at John Lewis, Grand Central Birmingham demonstrated the purple and blue.  I am glad that I tried the blue first as this is the colour and tex...

Lola Automatic Eye Pencil Update-Grey

Image
Lola Automatic Eye Pencil - Grey I am on a mission to find a dark grey not charcoal eyeliner.   I bought this in the hopes it would be but unfortunately it is more silver than grey and glittery/shimmery.   I wanted matte finish as I feel personally that shimmery/glittery don’t suit this 43-year old’s wrinkly hooded eyes.   I can see people who are going to festivals wearing this.   My search continues.   Don’t get me wrong it is a great eyeliner, it goes on smooth without pulling the eye or jumping and leaving gaps.   The tip allows you to apply it close to your lash. This looks white in this photo but it actually a pale silver grey

Rodial Smokey Eye Pen

Image
Rodial Smokey Eye Pen - Black Who for: Anyone who wants to apply a thick line or want to blend it to create a smokey eye First impressions: Not sure I want a thick line every day After one week: Not sure After one month: Still not sure Stockists: Rodial, SpaceNK, Lookfantastic This was part of the six free gifts that were on offer from the Dare Magazine that was available to purchase from Asda etc and was the main reason why I purchased the magazine as I had wanted to try Rodial..   I am not into the thick eyeliner look and didn’t like that I couldn’t get too close to the root of my lashes and the gap that was left.   I did like the ability to smudge the liner to create a smokey eye effect though sometimes I didn’t want to smudge it, which meant that I would get a smudge mark below the eyebrow from the tacky liner.   If you were not careful when applying your mascara, you could smudge the eyeliner.   When wearing the eyeliner, I would alwa...

{GIFTED} Lola Automatic Eye Pencil

Image
Lola MakeUp Automatic Eye Pencil - Black Product: Lola Make Up Automatic Eye Pencil Who for: Anyone who wants a precision line be it thin or thick First impressions: Very fine point that will line close to my upper lashes After one week: Once applied doesn’t smudge After one month: Can be smudged or blended creates a precision line Stockists: Lola Makeup Sent free from GlamGeek I was lucky enough to win this Eye Pencil from GlamGleek for being their reviewer of the week. This pencil is BRILLIANT.  I can smudge it; I can blend it or leave it alone.  Once I have applied it, it stays where I have put it.  I have used it to draw a thin line close to my lashes and a thicker line when I am not wearing eyeshadow.  It stays all day and is easily removed with Micellar Water (I used IT Cosmetics) and a cleansing balm (again IT Cosmetics).  I did not have panda eyes, this attractive black rings around your eyes when eye make up won’...

BeautyPie Supercolour Eye Liner - Soft Black

Image
👀 BeautyPie Supercolour Eye Liner - Black Who for: Anyone who wants soft smudgy eyeliner look First impressions: Looks like any other eyeliner After one week: Perfect for all eyeliner looks After one month: So adaptable Stockists: BeautyPie I was looking for an eyeliner that I could smudge or leave how I had drawn the line on that wouldn’t budge.   This is it.   I can use it to draw a flick and line or just a line and smudge it.   Even drawing a simple fine line and not smudging it can be done with this eyeliner.   I like to vary how I apply my eyeliner on a daily basis.   I like that this pencil has a built-in smudger so no need to carry around an extra one.   It doesn’t leave a black line between my crease and eyebrow like some eyeliners I have used in the past have done.   It doesn’t crease or fade like other eyeliners.   Once applied it stays where I have put it – no panda eyes at the end of the day (which isn’t a n...

Benefit Roller Liquid Liner – Brown

Image
👀 Benefit Roller Liquid Liner in Brown Who for: Anyone who wants to create the perfect flick or line their eyes with a matte liner First impressions: The felt tip is long enough and flexible enough to create the perfect flick After one week: Love using the tip to create the perfect flick After one month: Can be used to line eyes without a flick and/or delicate or thick line Stockists: Benefit, Boots, Debenhams, John Lewis Winged Liner created using Roller Liquid Liner Again, I purchased this when I saw it on an Instagram post letting use know that it had been launched.  Most of my eyeliners in the past have been black – I ordered the brown.  I admit that I prefer a matte look to my eyes as I don’t want to draw to the redness that I permanently.  I am not the greatest at creating a flick and found that placing the felt tip where I wanted my flick I could create it easily.  The tip is also flexible so that you can draw very close t...

Benefit Roller Eye Bright Highlighter Pencil

Image
👓 Benefit Roller Eye Bright Highlighter Pencil Who for: Anyone who wants to look awake First impressions: It will be very noticeable After one week: Love it After one month: Its perfect for the inner corners Stockists: Benefit, Boots, Debenhams, John Lewis Having seen this on Instagram, I bought it from Benefits UK website.  I had bought it before I was told that I shouldn’t wear anything in my waterline which I have tried, and my eyes were red and very sensitive.  I apply it to the inner corner of my eye and had no problems. I do like this pencil – the texture is perfect if you want to blend it or leave how it came out of the bullet.  My first thought that it would be very noticeable as it has a slight shimmer, but it isn’t.  The colour seems adaptable to whatever skin tone it is applied to, again I was worried that it would be too pink for my colouring I was wrong.  It works well when my eyes are red due to irritation or from bein...
