Neostrata Restore Bionic Face Cream

Image
The name is a little misleading as I would call it a balm rather than a cream. It is a thick rich cream that melts into the skin leaving my skin feeling soft, hydrated and protected from the wind. I have noticed that the redness on my cheeks and nose has reduced since using this. Wrinkles are less noticeable, and skin looks and feels healthy.

Weleda Skin Food

Are you like me and click those links you see on Instagram or Tik Tok are disappointed that you get a foiled packet that has enough for one try of the product. Well, I was not when I received this package. I would call this a mini travel size but still enough for a couple of weeks’ use. This is a very thick lavender smelling cream that a small amount once warmed goes a long way. At first, I must admit the smell did put me off, but it did wear off. I prefer to use this at night because of the smell. I have tried it on its own, before and after other moisturisers and have found the best way for me to apply it is to mix with another moisturiser. If I do not do this, then my skin feels like it has a weatherproof coating on. I must admit my skin loves it and looks healthy as well as that glow from within look.

Boots Ingredients Multi-Biotic Moisturiser

This is the final part of the Niacinamide bundle from Boots. This is a great moisturiser and the one I use most often especially during the summer as it is light, and my sun care goes perfectly over the top. I use it morning and night too on those days that your skin needs tender loving care. It is absorbed quickly and does not leave a residue. My skin feels hydrated al day long.

B. by Superdrug Hydrate Moisturising Light Day Cream

This is for when I wear sunscreen and am out about all day but still need some form of moisturiser.  This fits the bill brilliantly it’s light weight and does not pill under sunscreen.  I also use it when I am wearing makeup again because it does not cause my foundation to pull.   On those days when you want to do a basic routine again this is the perfect moisturiser for that too.

This is the day cream I use under my my sunscreen on those days that I am out and about.  It absorbs into the skin perfect try and does. To leave a residue.  My skin feels soft and hydrated, it does not cause piling with my sunscreen.

I was not sure about this as you need to fingers worth of sun screen.  But I was surprised, I use this as my final step on the days that I am in the house rather than out and about.  I am fair skinned and burn easily so I never leave the house without factor 50 on.  This cream leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated as well as a lovely glow,  I feel protected enough when standing out in the garden with my dog and not having to worry that I might burn.

Athletia Core Balance Oil

Image
Product: Athletia Core Balance Oil    Who for: Anyone and everyone    First impressions: Does this go on my face?    After one week: Skin feels hydrated    After one month:  I do not need to apply a moisturiser afterwards    Stockists: Athletia, Selfridges    This is the first part of a two-part moisturising and hydrating skincare program.  I was not sure that this would work as my skin has been very dry lately.  You have to shake the bottle vertically then carefully get three drops out which I warm up using the therapist swipe.  I then press the oil into my skin making sure that I take time to breathe in the natural aroma of the product.  Then follow with Athletia Core Balance Toning Lotion.  I have not had to apply a moisturiser afterwards as these two products have provided my skin with enough hydration.

Forever Infinite by Forever Restoring Crème

Product: Forever Infinite by Forever Restoring Crème Who for: Anyone and everyone First impressions: The smell After one week: Skin looks good After one month: Skin looks healthy Stockists: Forever Living Great cream but the smell puts me off it.  Hubby does not like sleeping in the same room with me when I use it.  I have to apply it at least an hour before bed so that the smell has gone.  Because of the smell I did not really enjoy using it, but I noticed that my skin looked better when I used it instead of my prescription Retinol.  My skin looked and felt nourished and smoother the next night.  It was absorbed into the skin easily without leaving a residue

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Light SPF20

Image
Product: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Light SPF20 Who for: Anyone who felt the original Magic cream was too heavy for them First impressions: Smells lovely After one week: Skin looks healthy After one month: My new moisturiser  Stockists: Charlotte Tilbury, Feelunique, Selfridges This is a fantastic moisturiser with the added benefit of the SPF which is great for the winter months.  It might be a little rich for some, but my skin loved it and it can be a bit finicky and sensitive towards SPF, but it wasn’t to this.  It gave my skin enough hydration and protection against the rainy weather we have had.  I would apply this and then after half an hour apply separate SPF for summer days, as I normally use a SPF of 50.  The fragrance is pleasant and does not last.  It is quickly absorbed into the skin leaving a great base for makeup if you wear makeup on a daily basis.  Skin looks flawless and smooth.

Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen

Product: Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen   Who for: Anyone who wants a lightweight moisturiser with a sun protection.   First impressions: Smells lovely.   After one week: Skin feels hydrated.   After one month: Skin looks and feels hydrated.   Stockists: FentyBeauty, Boots, Harvey Nichols   This is the last product in the Starter Set I bought rom Boots.  I think I can honestly day this is the best one for me.  Two pumps covers my face neck and décolleté.  It smells like raspberry and is pink – do not let that put you off.  It sinks into the skin leaving behind a soft low to the skin.  The smell wears off within a short period of time.  I have noticed that my skin feels hydrated all day and that I do not need to spritz as much I did when using other moisturiser.  And this is the only form of SPF I am using as I am in the house all day and only go i...

Curél Intensive Moisture Facial Cream

Image
Tub of Curé l Intensive Moisture Facial Cream   Who for: Anyone who has dry sensitive skin First impressions: Very lightweight After one week: Skin feels soft and comforted After one month: To be updated Stockists: Curél, Boots This is the final product in the trial set that I had bought from Boots.  A grape sized amount of the cream is enough to moisturise my face, neck and décolleté.  This is called a cream, but I would say that it is a gel/cream that can easily be absorbed into the skin without leaving a residue.  I noticed the first day that I used the regime that my skin felt and looked healthy, soft and hydrated.  Some creams I need to reapply if I have been out in the cold weather that the UK is having at the moment, but I don’t with this as my skin feels hydrated and comforted all day long.  Even the area around my eyes looks a lot better – less dry and smoother.  Can’t wait to try the other two products in the rang...
