NYX Foundation Brush

Image
I bought this to help apply my Tan Luxe tanning drops and its perfect. Shape, density and material. The size of the brush heads is perfect to swirl any type of cream be it foundation or moisturiser containing tanning drops around the hairline and jaw as well as the tops of your ears. I like to pinch the bristles together when apply anything along both sides of my nose and the tip. My skin is sensitive to certain types of bristles and this brush does not make my skin itch once I have used it.

M.A.C Dual-Ended Foundation Brush

This is a great brush as you can use it in two different ways to create different effects. The paddle end of the brush to apply the foundation of your choice.  You can blend and build with this end. If you like a more diffused look then the dome-end is perfect for that. I have sensitive skin and certain types of brush can make my skin feel like I have hundreds of spiders crawling across my skin, neither end causes this as well it is a pleasure to use it when needed.

M.A.C. Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation NC10

I do not wear foundation every day, this is for special occasions, and this is the perfect foundation for that.  It is lightweight, blends into my skin perfectly and a little goes a long way. My skin does not feel dry once applied or becomes patchy after a few hours.  I like the fact that I can apply it with my fingers, brush or a damp sponge. With my fingers I can press it into areas that I want a little more coverage. Using a brush or damp sponge gives a lighter finish. The only thing I do not like the smell of the product but it wears off.

This is a sample of their newest foundation which I got through MAC’s website and their shade selector.  Brilliant foundation but just not my shade it’s too dark.  It’s a lightweight foundation that has a matte finish which I love.  You can build it up in areas that you need too. It made my skin look flawless - my T zone stayed matte.  I have bought a different shade and will show you the results another day.

Product: BeautyPie Everyday Great Skin Foundation Light Medium Samples Who for: Anyone and everyone who wants a lightweight foundation that has a matte finish First impressions: They are all too dark for me  After one week: Not applicable After one month: Not applicable Stockists: BeautyPie I have a love hare relationship with foundation, I love the way it looks on everybody else, but I hate it on me. Why? I can never find a shade that is quite right for me even the paler shades are darker on me. They oxidise over time whether I apply primer or not, they disappear. As you can see when I applied them before blending them, they all were a little too dark for me. Blended there was a slight improvement. I have taken photos after an hour and after four hours. I used the BeautyPie Pro Angled Concealer Brush to blend it in. After hours wear, I could feel my skin tightening where I had placed the foundation. Again., as can be seen in the photos below they are not a match to my skin tone as...

Benefit Hello Happy Flawless Brightening Foundation Who for: Anyone who wants a flawless medium coverage that looks natural First impressions: I think it is the wrong shade After one week: Perfect After one month: Am in love with how my skin looks Stockists: Benefit, Boots, QVC UK, John Lewis, Debenhams, House of Fraser I was colour matched after having my brow waxed and tinted by Emma at Benefit Stand, Grand Central, Birmingham and thought that the colour was a little too dark for me.  But I was so wrong.  In the previous new launch of a Benefit foundation (Hello Happy) I am a shade 1 but this time I was a shade 2.  Emma applied it using a sponge but at home I apply it with a Real Techniques foundation brush (I must get a new BeautyBlender).  It goes on like a dream, isn’t patchy after a few hours wear and looks perfect in every light due to the photochromic pigments.  It reduces that the redness on my cheeks, chin and nose but the b...
