{GIFTED} Lola Makeup Chubby Cream Lipstick

Image
Lola Makeup by Perse Chubby Cream Lipstick in Pomegranate Who for: Anyone who wants the coverage of a lipstick and the moisture of a lip balm First impressions: Ideal for carrying around in my backpack After one week: The ideal finishing touch any kind of makeup look After one month: The perfect red shade for every day Stockists: Lola I was kindly sent this by Lola Makeup to review.  I chose the Pomegranate shade and I am very pleased with my choice.  It doesn’t need a lipliner to be applied first as it doesn’t bleed into the fine lines that I have around my mouth.  The pencil shape helps apply it to the lip area perfectly.  There is enough pigment to give a hint of colour to the lips and is moisturising without being sticky.  I like to apply it straight from the bullet but it is creamy enough to be applied with fingertips to give a more edgier look to the lips.  Some cream lipsticks make the skin on my lips peel off this doesn’t...

{GIFTED} Lola Makeup Matte Liquid Lipstick Love Collection – First Date

Image
A Tube of Lola Makeup Matte Liquid Liptick Love Collection Who for: Anyone and everyone, young and old and everyone in between First impressions: Looks perfect After one week: My lips feel and look nourished and hydrated After one month: The perfect nude that lasts all day Stockists: Lola, Indulge This was kindly gifted to me by Lola.   It is the first liquid that I have tried.   The doe foot applicator applies the right amount to the lips, giving both coverage and colour to the lips.   The shape of the doe foot applicator also helps to line the lips before filling in and creates the perfect cupid’s bow.   The liquid lipstick is not too runny or too thick, it is the right consistency to stay where it is applied.   One coat gives enough coverage and doesn’t streak.   Within a few seconds the lipstick is dry to a matte finish which is perfect for everyday wear, even if you are wearing jeans and a t-shirt.   The lipstick doesn’t...

{GIFTED} Lola Nail Varnish

Image
Bottle of Lola Makeup Nail Varnish in Orchid  I am not a nail artist but this varnish made me feel like one.  The brush makes it easy to apply a thin coat and in three swipes along the nail.  For a sheer effect you only need to apply one coat.  The photograph below is two coats.  It dries quickly and does not chip easily even without a top coat.  The glossiness of the polish lasts, some nail polishes the glossiness fades within a day or two – this didn’t.  The varnish applied evenly to the nail plate and the colour in the bottle is the colour of the varnish, I have had some that dry darker or even lighter than that in the bottle.

{GIFTED} Lola Lip Pencil

Image
Lola Lip Pencil Who for: Anyone who wants effortless precision application of a lip pencil First impressions: It is a peachy nude not sure it’s the right nude for me After one week: I love the colour After one month: I love the fact that I can wear it on its own or under lipstick Stockists: Lola Make Up, Indulge Beauty When I first saw this lip pencil, kindly gifted to me by Lola, I thought its colour was sandy rather than nude.  The brush on the other end of the pencil is brilliant for correcting mistakes or smudging/blending it.  The formulation is soft and glides onto my dry lips and doesn’t make them drier it actually nourishes them.  It feels like velvet on my lips, as the photos below show I have lines around my mouth, this lip pencil didn’t bleed into them nor did it come off when I kissed my two boys – they hate it when I leave my lipstick/pencil on them.  It lasted all day and was easily removed using my IT Cosmetic Cleansing Balm...

{GIFTED} Lola BB Cream

Image
Lola BB Cream On warmer days I have don’t like to wear foundation and this seems the perfect answer.  The BB cream is a little thicker than I expected, and the shade is a little dark for me.  I first applied it using my fingers and though it was easy to blend into my skin but left it looking as if I had a suntan.  The next time I applied it I used a Real Techniques Buffing Brush and it blended better into my skin without it looking as if I had a suntan.  Both ways of applying it, it did not sit in my fine lines that I have around my eyes and mouth.    It covered the darkness under my eyes and on my lids.  It is great to wear if you want a less structed look and are sightseeing or out walking at lunchtime as the SPF of 20 is enough.  It lasted all day and was not patchy.  The BB cream was easily removed using my IT Cosmetics Balm or Micellar Water.  It is a great product if you want to look as if you have a tan as it has skincar...

Lola Automatic Eye Pencil Update-Grey

Image
Lola Automatic Eye Pencil - Grey I am on a mission to find a dark grey not charcoal eyeliner.   I bought this in the hopes it would be but unfortunately it is more silver than grey and glittery/shimmery.   I wanted matte finish as I feel personally that shimmery/glittery don’t suit this 43-year old’s wrinkly hooded eyes.   I can see people who are going to festivals wearing this.   My search continues.   Don’t get me wrong it is a great eyeliner, it goes on smooth without pulling the eye or jumping and leaving gaps.   The tip allows you to apply it close to your lash. This looks white in this photo but it actually a pale silver grey

Lola Mega Volume Mascara - Brown

Image
Lola Mega Volume Mascara - Brown Who for: Anyone who wants to add drama, volume and definition to their lashes instantly. First impressions: The formula and brush seem different After one week: Love the look of my lashes After one month: Brilliant can layer with other mascaras Stockists: Lola MakeUp First of all, I must say that I like the fact that the packaging is different not only in shape but the feel.  For someone who has problems with their vision this is a major plus point for me as I know which mascara I have without looking, I don’t need to wear my glasses to try and find it.  The brush is slightly larger than the standard mascara brush though the tip of the brush is just the right size to be able apply to apply mascara to the outer and inner lashes perfectly.  The formula seems thicker than the Infinite Lash mascara.  You can still apply more than one coat of the mascara without it clumping.  The formula is long lasting a...

{GIFTED} Lola Infinite Lash Mascara

Image
Lola Infinite Lash Mascara Who for: Anyone who wants the false lash look without wearing them First impressions: Like the brush, formulation isn’t too thick After one week: Where has this been After one month: LOVE IT I MEAN I REALLY LOVE IT Stockists: Lola website I was extremely luck to be sent this by Lola.   The first thing that stood out to me is the brush, it is slightly tapered and very flexible.   The bristles are evenly spaced out with some a little longer.   The short bristles make it easy to apply the mascara to the root which gives the look of tight lining.   The longer bristles help curl the lashes and separate them.   The shorter bristles at the tip of the brush help coat the lashes at the corners.   It is buildable without clumping and there no bits under the eyes after a day’s wear.   I like the fact that I can apply one coat and if I want to enhance my lashes more then I can apply a second coat without my...

{GIFTED} Lola Automatic Eye Pencil

Image
Lola MakeUp Automatic Eye Pencil - Black Product: Lola Make Up Automatic Eye Pencil Who for: Anyone who wants a precision line be it thin or thick First impressions: Very fine point that will line close to my upper lashes After one week: Once applied doesn’t smudge After one month: Can be smudged or blended creates a precision line Stockists: Lola Makeup Sent free from GlamGeek I was lucky enough to win this Eye Pencil from GlamGleek for being their reviewer of the week. This pencil is BRILLIANT.  I can smudge it; I can blend it or leave it alone.  Once I have applied it, it stays where I have put it.  I have used it to draw a thin line close to my lashes and a thicker line when I am not wearing eyeshadow.  It stays all day and is easily removed with Micellar Water (I used IT Cosmetics) and a cleansing balm (again IT Cosmetics).  I did not have panda eyes, this attractive black rings around your eyes when eye make up won’...
