Waitrose Pure Hydration Hot Cloth Cleanser When I bought this, I had hoped it would be a perfect replacement for Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish.  This has a different texture, it is a yellow oily don’t know how to describe it, its thick wouldn’t say cream or solid as a balm but something in between.  It has something that is gritty to exfoliate the skin.  I was worried that it might be too harsh for my skin, but my skin coped well with the grittiness of it.  I would use this as my first cleanse at night to remove my make-up – it removed Benefit Badgal Bang and They’re Real Push Up liner without rubbing the eye are too much.  Even the grittiness didn’t make my eyes sore.  It is applied to dry skin and once removed with a damp cloth there is an oily residue left behind which some might find off putting.  It didn’t leave my skin feeling tight.  One thing I don’t like about the product is the scummy residue that is left in the sink when you pull the plug out.  Would I re-purchase it

Bottle of M&S Pure Instant Radiance This is a money saving dupe for Pixi Glow Tonic.  I use it three times a week after cleansing at night, I don’t put any moisturiser on afterwards to allow the product to work effectively.  You may be put off by the strong herbally smell of the lotion – don’t be it doesn’t last long.  Both my hubby who has oily skin and I, my skin is dry/sensitive, use this product.  Hubby has noticed that his skin isn’t as oily as it was and any spots he has do not last as long, they dry up quickly.  The texture of both our skins has improved since using this.  We have brighter and healthier looking skin.  There is a slight tingle when you apply this lotion using a cotton pad.   We use one cotton pad and wipe it over our faces avoid the lip and eye area, turn it over and use the other side making sure we clean behind our ears just like our mothers told us to when we were little.  Don’t forget to wipe it over your neck and décolleté as I have noticed an impr

Mini of Benefit Badgal Waterproof Eyeliner I bought the mini version of the Badgal Waterproof Eyeliner to see if I could use it to tight-line my eyes and how I looked with them done.   I now wish I had the full size as I like the way my eyes look.   It is a brilliant soft pencil that draws lines both below and above the eyelashes.   It lasts all day and for a waterproof eyeliner most make-up removers remove it easily without too much rubbing.   I have worn it with the Benefit They’re Real Push Up liner in Black and Purple, it made my eyes stand out more.   I have always liked the shape and colour of my eyes and now that my close vision is slowly deteriorating I should hate them, but I still like the and enjoy trying new looks.   Once I have used this little pencil up I will be repurchasing it in a bigger size. Packaging and Bottle of Hylamide Hydra-Density Mist This mist is to be used after cleansing before serums and moisturisers which to me seems weird.  Holding the bottle at arm’s length you can cover your face, neck and décolleté in one go.  Which is how I have been applying it.  We are currently experience some hot weather and I have found that the spray is fine enough to spray over make-up when I want to cool my face down.  It doesn’t disrupt or move my make-up and with the hot weather being around for a few days it is just what I need.  I have only been using it a week and have noticed that at the end of the day my skin isn’t feel tight and I don’t need to rush to take off my make-up.  I would love it to be in a smaller bottle so that I can keep it in my back-pack and use it when I am out and about.  I will be repurchasing this product as I can see many uses for this product.

Box and Tube of Abnomaly Bali This yellow gel like balm smells like pineapples.  I love pineapples.  I apply this as part of my skincare routine and my lips are hydrated all day long.  Lipsticks last longer on my lips and are not drying.  The lines around my lips are not as noticeable after a week of use.  My lips are not peeling, cracked or dry.  My lips are smooth and soft more importantly not sore.

Benefit Browvo 10 days of using Benefit Browvo Before using Browvo This silver tube holds some sort of magic.  One click per eye brow is all you need.  I personally start with the area of concern for example I start at the front for my right eyebrow and the tail of my left eyebrow.  The tip of the tube is like a comb which disperse the product along each eyebrow.  This is the last step in my morning and evening routine before applying it I wipe my eyebrows to remove any serums or moisturiser.  I will post photos of my right eyebrow to show developments.  I will be re-purchasing this product.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution This is a weekly ritual for my hubby and I to use this product.  Hubby has oily skin and I have dry/sensitive skin.  We have both noticed in a difference in the skin tone and brightness of our skin.  Hubby’s skin isn’t as oily as it was.  There is a slight tingling when this applied in a thin layer all over the face and neck – I also put it on my décolleté.  The ten minutes you have to wait before removing it using warm water and a damp cloth to me is enough -any less and I don’t think the results would be great, any more and you might be very sun sensitive.  The mild crepiness of my décolleté has improved.  We will be repurchasing this product as we both have noticed a difference in our skins since using it.

Tube of The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + HA This is a rather thick cream and I didn’t think that my skin would absorb it, but it did.   I use a small amount that covers my face, neck and décolleté.   There is no sticky residue or sheen to the skin like I have had with other moisturisers.   My skin feels hydrated and no longer tight at lunchtime.   My foundation lasts longer on my skin with and without primer, there are no dry patches or dehydration lines.   I will be repurchasing this moisturiser as my skin loves it.

Bottle of The Ordinary Granactive Retinoids 2% in Squalane This is the first retinoid product that I have used, and I am only using it twice a week at night until I finish this bottle and decide whether I will go to three times a week when I buy my next bottle.  After cleansing my skin and applying Buffet and apply this product in the same way as I do with Buffet.  Three drops onto palm on one hand then spread between both, patted onto the skin then massaged into my face, neck and décolleté paying particular attention the areas of concern so lines around my mouth and orbital bone.  In the morning I have noticed that my skin looks better, smoother.  The lines are slowly looking less noticeable.  I would recommend this product if you want to try retinoids.  I definitely will be repurchasing this.

Bottle of The Ordinary Buffet After cleansing, this is the first serum in my new regimen thanks to the guys at The Ordinary I apply three drops to the palms then spread between both palms before gently patting the product around my face, neck and décolleté.  Once I have done this I massage the product in, paying particular attention to the areas I am concerned with e.g. the lines around my mouth and orbit bone.  It doesn’t leave a residue.  My skin does not feel dry or sticky as some serums I have used in the past have left my skin.  The décolleté and neck area which I have neglected until now are smoother and brighter.  I will be repurchasing this product as I love the way my skin looks when I use it and my hubby gives me compliments which is rare.

Bottle of The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% Three drops of this liquid cover my face, neck and décolleté.   It massages into the skin without leaving a residue.   I have noticed an improvement in the brightness of my skin tone, the fine lines I have around my eyes and mouth are too reducing in appearance.   My skin feels soft and nourished.   Whenever I use this product people comment on how well I look.   Hubby always says that he can tell when I have used it as my skin looks brighter.   Just on that compliment alone I will be repurchasing this product as my hubby doesn’t give out compliments.

Baija Gommage Festin Royal Miel Caramelise Body Scrub This is a very thick product and the jar made it difficult for me to get small amounts out.  It is a lovely luxurious exfoliator that smells good enough to eat.  My skin loved this product and even though I massaged it a little to hard in places I did not find the grainy rough on my sensitive skin.  It turned into a milky consistency when I stood under the shower and wash off brilliantly, I wasn’t felt with grains on my body like I have with other exfoliators.  My skin felt nourish and hydrated that I did not need to apply a body moisturiser afterwards.  I would re-purchase this if it came in a better jar.

Bottle of Monu Warming Ginger Bath & Body Oil I received this product in a beauty box subscription, I cannot remember which one or month.  I must have poured more into the shower than my hand.  It had a strange smell that was pleasant at first but after a while I didn’t like it.  It applied easily despite me spilling quite a lot.  It massaged into the skin well and turned milky when I stood under the shower.  My poor skin didn’t like it and even my palms started itching as I washed it off.  I won’t be re-purchasing this product.

Tube of Omorovicza Refining Facial Polisher This product contains Hungarian Moor Mud along with pumice to exfoliate the skin.  My skin is sensitive and the pumice in this product was a little too scratchy for my skin.  It felt sore and red when I applied it to my face.  It started as a green gel then as I massaged it in, in circular motions it turned to a pearlescent grey.  You are supposed to leave it on your skin for 2 minutes but as my skin was reacting to it I removed it as quickly as I could.  It did come off my skin with ease.  My skin felt tight, sore and itchy once I removed it.  It was redder than it usually is.  I don’t feel that this is the right product for someone who has sensitive skin like I have.  The price of a 100ml tube is well out of my price range which means I wouldn’t think about re-purchasing it.  As my skin didn’t like it I definitely won’t be re-purchasing it.

Tube of Espa Pink Hair and Scalp Mask I may have applied too much to my short hair as I used the whole tube in one go.   I applied the mask in stages, making sure that I massaged it into the scalp and all my hair was covered.   It washed out of hair easily and I only needed to shampoo my hair once rather than the two times I normally do or use a conditioner.   Once dry my hair nourished and no crunchy patches which I have had when using masks in the past.   My scalp felt hydrated and there were no dry patches.   I might re-purchase this, but I have to see what my hair likes in a few week’s time.

Ella Eden Compact Eyeshadow - Julia Unfortunately, my eyeshadow was broken when I received it.  I like the colour and the gentle sheen.  This is a colour I would wear when wearing jeans and t-shirt and want to look polished natural make-up.  The colour pay-off is great and blended well.  It lasted all day. Balance Me Congested Skin Serum Ingredients List I don’t have a problem with spots, so I gave it to my 14-year-old son who has a spotty forehead which he doesn’t like.  He applied to his forehead morning an evening after washing his face.  The sample size gave him enough for a week and in that week he noticed a huge improvement in his spots.  He didn’t get any more and those he had were at first less red and sore, gone by the end of the week.  He would re-purchase this as this is the first product that has helped him with his spots.  More importantly he liked using it as it was an invisible gel that he could applied directly on his spots individually or all over his forehead, his friends didn’t notice he was using a spot cream and when you are a 14-year-old that is so important.

Bottle of Lavender Platinum Conditioner As I have mentioned when reviewing the shampoo, I had seen this range in the shops and thought it was out of my price range but at the time of purchasing was on offer in Boots.  I was a little worried when I first used it as it reminded me of the polish my mom used to polish her furniture and floors – the smell and colour.  After washing my hair in the shampoo, I put an amount about the size of a pound coin on my hair and massaged it through.  I left it on my hair for the time it took me to wash my face and body in the shower.  It rinsed off well leaving no residue or fragrance.  My hair once dry left soft, bouncy and was very manageable.  I will be re-purchasing this range of conditioners, I might even try a different one.

Packaging and bottle of The Ordinary Colours Serum Foundation I am using shade 1.0P which is one of the lightest shades and has a pink undertone.  I thought I had chosen the wrong shade as I have a neutral undertone to my skin, but this blends well into my skin and provides a natural semi-matte finish ideal for every day wear.  It lasts all day with or without using a primer, it can be any primer you have it doesn’t have to be one of the Ordinary primers.  It tones down the redness in my cheeks and nose without hiding my freckles which I love.  It is the perfect foundation when you want a natural casual make-up look rather than a smart make-up look.  One pump covers one half of my face evenly using my fingers or my BeautyBlender or brush.  If I have applied it using my fingers or BeautyBlender I always buff it into my skin with a brush.  It does not settle in my fine lines and wrinkles.  Yes, I would re-purchase it and have, I have purchased 1.0N to see what the difference on

Bottle of OGX Lavender Platinum Shampoo If you are like me and have seen this range when out shopping and was unsure whether to try them I would say try them especially when they are offer.   If I hadn’t watched an empties episode on Caroline Hiron’s YouTube channel, I wouldn’t have bought it when they were on offer in my local Boots.   The shampoo is more of a jelly consistency than a liquid which is a plus point as you are less likely to spill it when using it in the shower – I am that person who spills shampoo in the shower then slips on it.   My hubby now stays upstairs when I am in the shower in case I have an accident.   Right back to the shampoo.   You only need a small amount of the shampoo to get a decent lather for a first wash.   Some shampoos I have used in the past require a lot of product to obtain the lather that this shampoo gave me.   The shampoo rinses out well and my hair is squeaky clean.   I always shampoo my hair twice as it is thick and like double cleansin

Bottle of Liz Earle Botanical Shine Nourishing Hair Oil I have used this product for many years, I have tried others like this, but I never have the same results, so I keep going back to it.   Why?   When I had long hair, which would take an hour to dry with a hairdryer or over night if I wanted to let it dry naturally, this product would reduce the time by about half the time.   I would apply about three pumps now my hair is short pixie type cut I use one pump and leave it to dry naturally, my hair feels soft is manageable and looks in great condition, its shiny.   Also, any tangles I have when I had long hair or now they brush out easily using either my fingers or a brush.   If my hair is feeling dry after a day in the sun, I will apply a pump and massage it through there is no residue my hair doesn’t feel sticky just hydrated.   Yes, I would re-purchase this – I have and will continue to because my hair likes it.

The Deciem products I use I love this primer, I cannot feel that it has silicone in it.  On the days that I don’t want to wear make-up I will wear this along with Hylamide H A Blur.  When applying this product I wait upto 15 minutes after applying the Hylamide before massaging a small amount into my skin with my fingers rather than using a damp BeautyBlender.  It is easily absorbed into the skin and provides a matte base for my make-up.  The fine lines I have around my eyes and mouth are less noticeable.  My foundation blends better when I use the primer than when I don’t.  It lasts all day and doesn’t slip.  I have also found that my glasses don’t slip down my nose as often when using the primer.  For me it is the best primer I have used and the fact I can wear it without make-up is a bonus and will be re-purchasing it.

Various Deciem Products that I use This feels like single cream and I don’t think it will give me the coverage I want.   I am wrong this foundation blends well using either my fingers or my damp BeautyBlender.   It tones down the redness in my cheeks and nose without hiding my freckles.   It evens out my skin and doesn’t sit in any fine lines that I have.   My skin does not feel as if I have any foundation on and lasts all day with or without using a primer underneath.   I like the fact that if I want to build coverage in areas I want without it looking thick or moving the foundation I have already applied. It has a semi- matte finish which I love as it looks natural without looking cakey.   I love the fact that I can use the same colour in both the Serum and Coverage without having to remember what the colour is called.   Because of the formula there maybe two or three shades that I can wear but I haven’t tried YET!   Re-purchase them – yes of course they are the best foundation

The Hand Chemistry Pro-Repair Skincare for Hands This thick cream absorbs quickly into the skin and I can see a difference in the tone of my skin immediately.  It looks brighter, nourished and firmer.  I apply the had cream as part f my morning and evening routine.  It doesn’t leave a residue or fragrance – I can hold things in my hands as it is not sticky.  Hands look hydrated.  With each application my hands are improving.  There is an improvement of the elasticity, evenness in skin tone.  Though I don’t have wrinkles the texture, firmness and smoothness of them has improved.  They look younger.  I know that some people have put it on their face as they have seen an improvement in the skin on their hands I must admit I haven’t tried it but will when I don’t have any moisturiser.  This is the best hand cream I have used as I have a Dyshidrotic Eczema and have found that some hand creams/lotions that make it worse, they don’t alleviate the itchiness and dryness that the steroid c

The colours of the eye-shadow palette Technic Mega Sultry 2 Eye Palette To me these are more the colours I would wear on a regular basis even if I was wearing t-shirt and jeans.  The paler shades are great to use as a base all over the eye lids before putting on the darker shades or other eye-shadows.  They can be worn on their own or layer with other shadows to create a more sophisticated look.  Out of this palette I would say the pale pink and lilac shades are the ones I wear the most as the go with everything.  I have used the darker shadows as eyeliner on their own and they look fantastic.  There are mattes and shimmers which when worn together can look natural or vamped up for a night time look – I am confident that I will be re-purchasing this palette as I am confident and comfortable wearing all the shades even at my age of 42.

The colours of the eye-shadows Technic Mega Sultry Palette My first impression was that I had bought the wrong one as the colours seemed very bright and shimmery for me aged 42 to wear.  I was wrong they are highly pigmented so that means a little goes a long way.  They are buildable if you want an intense colour and can be worn on their own to create an easy smoky eye.  Or you can use two – I have only ever worn two of these shades together as they are highly pigmented.  I prefer a brush rather than the sponge applicator as I can control the intensity and placement better with a brush. For quickness and a different look, I have used the darker shades as an eyeliner, they didn’t last as long as a normal eyeliner but worked well when I wanted a certain colour to match my outfit or accessory.  Would I re-purchase them to be honest I am not sure, my confidence in wearing make-up at the moment is very low and I just want a quick easy look plus I feel as a 42-ye

The Eye-shadows of Storm Palette Sleek Storm Palette T hough I try to use products that do not contain parabens I love this palette.   The shadows look very bright in the palette, but they can be applied subtly.   The shadows work well either on their own or with others from the palette.   I have used the matte black and brown as an eyeliner which worked well and lasted all day.   I used a brush to apply these shadows rather than the applicator that came with them as I found I had more control of how much and where I wanted to place the colour.   These can be built up and layered to create different looks.   There is little fall-out, but the colour play-off is brilliant.   All the colours are wearable whatever your age and eye colour.   I have worn them singularly to create a smoky look as well as combining two or more to create an eye look.   I will be buying more of these palettes in the various shades ranges that they have.

Lustea Coconut Milk Hair Mask This is a thick rich cream that when applied to damp hair goes on smoothly.   I may have applied too much but my hair seemed to drink it in even though I wouldn’t say my hair was dry or colour-treated.   It washed out easily and didn’t leave a residue after leaving it on for the recommended time of five minutes.   Once dry my hair felt soft and hydrated.   It was manageable and held its style well without the use of hairspray or gel.

Laboratoires Filogra Meso-Mask Unfortunately, my skin had a reaction to something in this. I had to remove it after 2 minutes because I had patches of skin that were burning – on the tops of my cheeks and under my chin.   I had hoped that I could use it as I haven’t been sleeping properly what with the weather and my mental health.   Sorry Filgora I won’t be re-purchasing this product.

Korres White Tea Gel Fluid Cleanser This is a runny gel.   It left my skin feeling sticky even though I had followed the instructions of applying it to a wet face.   I could only use this product twice as my skin didn’t like it I had a reaction to it.   I have patches of skin that felt in fire – itchy burning that lasted almost all day.   My skin felt tight and sore as well.   I won’t be re-purchasing this product.
