Product: Morocanoil Colour Depositing Mask   Who for: Anyone who wants to change their hair colour and improve its condition at the same time.   First impressions: Smells great.   After one week : Hair is hydrated, and the colour is great.   After one month: Fades brilliantly.   Stockists: LookFantastic, AllBeauty, FeelUnique, Moroccanoil   This was the third brand I used to change my hair colour, and this was the best one, not only because it left my hair feeling soft and the colour was magnificent, but it also lasted for more than 8 weeks – I only wash my hair once a week.  When it faded it did not fade patchy but perfectly even.  It is like using a hair mask, but it also deposits colour either to enhance your natural colour or to change it.  The smell makes me want to use it as it is so nice.  With every wash it faded slightly but not patchy like others.  It took well over the whole of my bleached hair it was not patchy, there was no more than enough for my

Product: Crazy Colour Semi Permanent Hair Colour   Who for: Anyone who wats to change their hair colour on a regular basis.   First impressions: Looks good.   After one week: Patchy   After one month: Faded too quickly.   Stockists : Blue Banana, SalonsDirect, Amazon, Crazy Color   During the first two lockdowns we had in the UK I bleached and used semi-permanent colours to change it on regular basis and I chose this shade of grey as I had hoped that it would be the one, I would use on a regular basis.  But unfortunately, this did not work on my hair, it was patchy didn’t last more than a month and was the reason I gave up bleaching my hair and wen back to dying it my natural colour.  Sorry Crazy Color.  This is how faded after the first wash

  Product: Haus Labs Eye-Dentify Gel Pencil Eyeliner - Street Who for: Anyone and everyone who wears make-up. First impressions: Great Colour After one week: Brilliant   After one month: A dream   Stockists: Haus Labs, Amazon   I bought this shade as I was having a ‘Am I too old to wear black eyeliner’ moment as I either line my eyes all around or just line the top lashes and tightline.  Yes, I tight line even though I have dry eye as I like the look and am incredibly careful on the eyeliners I use – I have found cheaper brands do cause me trouble.  But this did not, and I love the way my eyes look.  This is he colour I wear almost every day as to me grey is the perfect neutral; I even have pale grey nails (more later).  This applies like a dream and lasts all day without smudging.  Eye make-up remover removes it easily without tugging or rubbing hard around the eye area.  The only issue I have is that the best way to buy it in the UK if you do not want to have to pay

Product: BeautyPie Uber Youth Super Elixir Microbiome Mist Who for: Anyone who wants to improve their skin barrier. First impressions: Fine mist After one week: Skin feels less sore. After one month: Skin feels healthy. Stockists: BeautyPie I bought this as my skin has been problematic for me during the lockdown as well as peeling with the prescription from Skin+Me.  This has been so helpful in improving not only looking but also feeling so much.  I must use eye drops every two hours for dry eye so I will spray my face after just them.  And within a day I noticed a difference with the look of my skin, within a week the texture of my skin looked so much better.  Must admit that my Cocker Spaniel loves it too.  The smell is insane, that it helps me focus.  Two sprits are enough for each application, and it is great when it is hot which is not too often here in the United Kingdom.  It will be repurchased when I have finished it.

  Product: Elizabeth Arden Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules Hydra-Plumping Serum   Who for: Anyone who wants to visibly plumper and hydrated skin   First impressions: Will there be enough   After one week: Skin looks hydrated   After one month: Skin looks hydrate and healthy   Stockists: Elizabeth Arden, FeelUnique, Boots, Lookfantastic   I was sent these as a sample.  I have tried capsules in the past and have found how surprised ow much there is in the capsules and how far I can apply it.  These capsules have enough for my face, neck, and décolletage.  It is a thick creamy consistence that once warmed in the fingers applies like silk and leaves the skin feeling soft.  My skin felt hydrated for at least 24 hours without feeling tight or sore.  It worked well with the Curél Milk underneath.

  Product: SensatioNail Gel Polish - Grey Day   Who for: Anyone who wants gel polish at home   First impressions: Great colour   After one week: Has a slight shimmer   After one month: Great coverage and long lasting   Stockists: Boots, NailPolishDirect, Superdrug   Is anyone else having difficulty in locating this range.  I know that they closed their UK website and offices in Birmingham but trying to find colours is becoming difficult.   This is a stunning grey shade that can be worn every day.  It has a silver sheen to it which makes it softer than a matte grey.  It is easy to apply, one coat gives a sheer finish, two coats give a more solid finish.  I like to apply three coats in order to give it depth and enhance the silver sheen to it.  The brush coats each nails with the correct amount of product in three simple swipes allowing you to build the colour and fill in any areas that have not quite covered  correctly without disturbing what you have already a

  Product: Fenty Beauty Flypencil Longwear Pencil Eyeliner – BankTank   Who for: Anyone who wants smudge and water-resistant long wear eyeliner   First impressions : Like the colour   After one week: Creamy and does not tug my eye area   After one month: Brilliant for autumn   Stockists: Fenty Beauty, Boots, Harvey Nichols   I bought this as I wanted a change from the Benefit Blue and black eye liner.  I picked this colour as I have hazel eyes and hoped it would enhance them which it does.  I like the fact that it has a matte finish once it has dried down, that was a bonus.  It is very creamy and draws on the eyelid smoothly without dragging which is great as I have found that my eye lashes and skin can be sore when I am having trouble with my dry eye.  I found that it irritated my waterline when I applied it but that could be because I was having a really bad day with my dry eye so I apply it to upper and lower lash line then apply a different eyeliner in my upp

  Product: Fenty Beauty Pro Kiss'r Luscious Lip Balm – Hint Hint   Who for: Anyone who wants to soften and nourish their lips   First impressions: Hope this does not dry my lips out   After one week: Love it   After one month: Love it – the texture, the feel on my lips   Stockists: FentyBeauty, Boots, Harvey Nichols   Boots currently only stock the Hint Hint shade.  Hopefully, they will stock the other colours in due course.  As with lip scrubs my lips do not like anything on them be it scrub, gloss or lipstick they feel sore and flake which makes them look pale and dry.  This leaves my lips feeling soft and hydrated – does not make them flake or look dry even after an hour.  My lips are looking the best they have in years.  It is a joy to use.   Product: Fenty Beauty Pro Kiss'r Lip Loving Scrubstick   Who for: Anyone who wants soft nourished lips   First impressions: Do not think it will do much to my dry flaky lips   After one week: Oh my god my lips   After one month: Will not be without this   Stockists: FentyBeauty, Boots, Harvey Nichols   I bought this as I had found wearing masks when out and about were making my dry lips drier, sore, and flaky.  This first time I used it; I knew it was different to others I had used in the past.  Quick swipe other my lips leave for a few minutes and wipe off.  My lips looked hydrated and smooth.  One worry I had would have to use it more than once a day to maintain the effect.  I have that I only need to use it once a week for my lips to stay flake free.  It smells incredible a lovely vanilla smell.   Product: Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut & Macadamia Hair Food Conditioner   Who for: Anyone who wants to smooth and tame unruly hair   First impressions: Love the smell   After one week: Hair is less flyaway   After one month: Hair is soft and less frizzy   Stockists: Garnier, Superdrug, Boots   Hubby bought me this when he bought the shampoo to keep my hair in condition as I have started to bleach it.  It compliments the shampoo perfectly with the light scent of coconuts.  After shampooing my hair twice and rinsing well each time, I remove as much water as possible and apply about a fifty pence piece size of conditioner to my hair paying attention more to the ends rather than the root.  I leave it on for about five minutes then rinse it off.  Which is does without leaving residue.  Once air dryer my hair felt soft and nourished without feeling weighted down, it as less frizzy and no flyaways either.  It is a great everyday conditioner.

  Product: Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut & Macadamia Hair Food Shampoo   Who for: Anyone who wants to smooth and tame unruly hair   First impressions: Love the smell   After one week: Hair is less flyaway   After one month: Hair is soft and less frizzy   Stockists: Garnier, Superdrug, Boots   Hubby bought me this as I love the smell of coconuts and to help keep my bleached hair under control.  Even though my hair is short as in Pixie short it can still be frizzy.  It is rich and creamy.  The shampoo is a thick liquid that a small amount goes along way.  It creates a fine lather that cleans and nourishes each hair strand without leaving a residue, it also washes out easily.  I massage this into the hair and scalp taking my time the first use, then the just the hair the second time.  It is a great every day shampoo that looks after your hair.

  Product: Nars Climax Extreme Mascara - mini   Who for: Anyone who wants extreme volume and black pigment in one coat   First impressions: Not sure if I can get into the inner corner   After one week: Love it   After one month: Love it   Stockists: Nars, LookFantastic, Cult Beauty, Boots, FeelUnique, Space NK,   Did you know that if you have an Alexa or Google you can ask them to send you samples, neither did I until I had an email from a company (Beauty Markdown).  I tried it and got this mini.  I like a mascara that makes my lashes look their best and this mascara did it.  It did not smudge or flake.  Just stayed how I had applied it.  If I wanted a more dramatic look, I would wait a few seconds and apply a second coat.  It did not clump just separated and made my lashes look black, defined and with volume.  My lashes did not feel heavy or crunchy nor did they stick together when I blinked like some have done in the past.   Product: BlueSky Gels Nail Mail Subscription – August Who for: Anyone and everyone First impressions: Love the brush and formula After one week: Still shiny no chips After one month: Still going strong Stockists: BlueSky This is the second month of my subscription  The shades are ones I would choose but without the glitter which is very noticeable when wet but not so when dry which for me is great, as I am not someone who would wear glitter on my face let alone on my nails.  You have the ability to build the intensity of the colour.  The picture shows my nails with three coats on.  It applied smoothly and did not pool at the cuticle or be streaky.  They were easy to remove as I would any other gel polish, leaving no glitter behind which is another bonus.  The colours in this collection are Secret Power, Cosmic Light (on my nails) and Stardom Glow.  These are shades that I would wear all the time just wish they did not have glitter in them.

  Product: Skin+Me Prescription   Who for: Anyone who wants to improve their skin   First impressions: Like the daily doser   After one week: Skin looks great   After one month : I love the way my skin is looking   Stockists: Skin+Me   I had a Dermatica prescription as was impressed with that until I heard Caroline Hirons mention Skin+Me and that they used Azelaic Acid in their prescriptions.   And that as an ingredient that I wanted to try.   So, I did.   The amount of Tretinoin is lower than I had from Dermatica at 0.015%, it also has Niacinamide 4% and Azelaic Acid 4%.   My skin loves it, and I can seem an improvement by the end of my first prescription I can not wait to see what my skin looks like in another month.

Product: Superdrug Colour R-Plex Repair & Strength Shampoo   Who for: Anyone who wants to look after their coloured hair   First impressions: Seems to smell nice   After one week: My hair did not like it   After one month: My hair really did not like it   Stockists: Superdrug   It was on offer when I bought the treatment kit and bought the two together.   After trying the one sachet from the treatment kit I had hoped that as I could use more shampoo then I might not have the same problem as before.   I was wrong my hair felt swollen, plasticky and rough after the first shampoo.   It rinsed out easily so applied a little more shampoo, but my hair felt weird wrong and stiff.   No, I will not be buying this again.
