The BeautyButterfly

This is the final part of the QVC UK TSV. This is for those of us who have damaged hair and want to repair it. This fatty acid in the product helps restore the lipid layer that has been damaged by heat styling, chemical processes and colour-treating. I apply 2-3 drops to the mid lengths and ends using the praying hands method after washing and conditioning before allowing it to dry naturally. Once dry my hair feels softer and less frizzy than before using it. I use this every time I wash my hair once a week. You can apply it to dry hair, but I have not tried yet. I will get back to you when I have.  

This is part of the Coconut Breeze collection that was a QVCUK TSV in September 2022. Again, it’s the second smell from their range I have tried and it’s fantastic. This time I sectioned my hair into two after I rinsed the shampoo off. One pump is applied to the section from mid lengths and ends with praying hands, then raked through if I am going to do the ‘curly girl’ method I would also scrunch the conditioner into my hair. My hair feels like silk once dried. I just wish the coconut smell would last longer. 

At first glance you would assume that this would be a serum for your face, well you would be wrong it’s a serum for your hair. As I am growing out the dye that I put on my hair during 2021 including bleach, my hair is damaged and this after washing and conditioning my hair I would section my hair into four and each section into two.  Each smaller section I would apply one pump, first using the praying hands method then raking my finger through from roots to ends making special attention to the mid lengths and ends as this was where the most damage was. I would then brush my hair through and leave it to dry naturally. It helped with the frizz and made my hair more manageable  

Again, this has a delicate rose fragrance that lingers. It works perfectly with the shampoo and leaves my hair looking and feeling like silk. Damaged parts like hydrated and silky.  Once dry my hair is more manageable and looks healthy.  

This has a delicate rose fragrance that lingers pleasantly once hair is dried. This is a lovely shampoo that creates a fine lather which cleanses and moisturizes the hair with every wash. My hair was a little damaged from the bleaching and dying I had done during the lockdowns. This helped improve the condition of my hair.

 I bought this shampoo as I felt my hair was looking dull and lifeless. This is the perfect shampoo for the job.  Not only did it remove any dry shampoo or products that I had used that week.  It also removes any excess oil. I would apply an amount that was the size of a 10pence, rub it between my hands to create a lather before applying it to my scalp. Paying special attention to the areas that I have itchy areas. Rinse then repeat. After the first use my hair was shiny, full of life and looking the best it has in awhile.  I used  Redken Color Extend Blondage as my conditioner.  My hair was more manageable, held it style for longer and I could go over a week between washes.

Product: Josh Wood Airbrush with tool   Who for: Anyone who wants to cover root growth.   First impressions: Excited to try.   After one week : Love it.   After one month: Love it.   Stockists: Josh Wood Colour   I was sent this as part of my order as I had joined their auto-delivery for the No 5 with Copper Gold Shot.   Which was a surprise and so helpful as I do not dye my hair as soon as I see the grey roots but every six.   This means I have an inch of growth.   This covers it perfectly and the brush helps blends the product in so that there are no hard lines.   This is a great product which I will be repurchasing, and the brush is the perfect partner.  

  Product: Toni & Guy Illuminating Hair Perfume   Who for: Anyone who wants to refresh their hair and add a shine.   First impressions: Smells nice.   After one week: Not sure it is for me.   After one month: Definitely not for me   Stockists: Superdrug, Amazon   I must be honest I had great hopes for this as I wanted it to be great and make my hair look and feel great.  The smell was fine even okay it was not something that would make me want to use it regularly.  My hair is damaged from all the bleach last year and I have not grown it all out yet, but this emphasised the damage – it made it look and feel like straw.  I did not spray it directly on my hair, I sprayed it on to a Denman Boar Bristle brush then brushed it through my hair. Still look like straw and I had to wash my hair the next morning as it looks oily and lifeless which is not my hair.  Sorry Toni&Guy I will not be buying this again.

  Josh Wood Colour Miracle System no. 5 with Copper Gold Shot This is the reason that I chose this range as I have dropped my base colour down one number and changed my Colour Shot.  Why?  When I was in my twenties, I dyed my hair using Clairol Ultress Y43 as I love the redness in my hair – I should have been born a red head.  I spent my weekends during Secondary school dying my hair with henna to make it red.  So, when Josh Wood Colour brought this out and it was time to dye my roots, I needed to buy it.  All I can says is I love it; I love it that much I set up the auto delivery so I will get it every six weeks to cover my grey roots.  I am always happy with the results that I get whenever I use this brand.  I love the redness in my hair that this has given me.

  Product: Mane 'n' Tail Deep Moisture Shampoo   Who for: Anyone and everyone   First impressions: Its blue.   After one week: Dry patch of hair soft and hydrated.   After one month: Hair has softness and bounce.   Stockists: Boots, Superdrug, Mane and Tail, Lookfantastic,   If you have used the original, you will be shocked to see that this version is blue.  A nice silvery blue.  This has the same smell as the original the only difference is that it has more moisturising benefits.  I used a size of a 10 pence piece to wash my hair.  The first wash did not foam up as much as the second wash, the bubbles are fine and easily washed out my hair.  It leaves my hair feeling soft and hydrated and when dry has a bounce and softness. 

  Product: Josh Wood Miracle Conditioner for Dry, Damaged Hair   Who for: Anyone who wants to Improve the health of their hair and maintain their colour.   First impressions: Smells gorgeous.   After one week: Hair feels healthy and soft.   After one month: To be confirmed.   Stockists : Josh Wood   This is the accompanying conditioner to the shampoo.  It has the same gorgeous floral with citrus undertones smell which I now associate with Josh Wood Colour.  As this is thicker than the shampoo, I only needed three pumps.  Once I applied it I then brushed my hair with my Tangle Teezer Wet Detangler to make sure that it is evenly distributed through my short hair.  I left it on for five minutes.  It washed out easily without leaving any residue.  Once it had dried naturally my hair was more manageable and had volume which it has not had in a while.  This I think will be my every-day conditioner....

  Product: Sol de Janeiro Triple Brazilian Butter Hair Repair Treatment   Who for: Anyone who wants to improve the health of their hair.   First impressions: Smells gorgeous.   After one week: Hair is more manageable.   After one month: Hair is less frizzy and looks health.   Stockists: Cult Beauty, FeelUnique, LookFantastic, SpaceNK   The beginning of the year I decided to go back to my natural hair colour and to grow it long again.  This is one of many products that I have bought to try and improve the health of my hair.  The smell is lovely, and the texture of the product is thick like a body butter.  I apply the most amount to the patch of straw like hair at the back of my head before applying it to the rest o my hair paying attention to the ends rather than the roots.  I have left it on or the maximum time, but I think my hair could take it on longer with or without a shower cap on to keep the warmth in....

Product: Crazy Colour Semi Permanent Hair Colour   Who for: Anyone who wats to change their hair colour on a regular basis.   First impressions: Looks good.   After one week: Patchy   After one month: Faded too quickly.   Stockists : Blue Banana, SalonsDirect, Amazon, Crazy Color   During the first two lockdowns we had in the UK I bleached and used semi-permanent colours to change it on regular basis and I chose this shade of grey as I had hoped that it would be the one, I would use on a regular basis.  But unfortunately, this did not work on my hair, it was patchy didn’t last more than a month and was the reason I gave up bleaching my hair and wen back to dying it my natural colour.  Sorry Crazy Color.  This is how faded after the first wash

  Product: Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut & Macadamia Hair Food Conditioner   Who for: Anyone who wants to smooth and tame unruly hair   First impressions: Love the smell   After one week: Hair is less flyaway   After one month: Hair is soft and less frizzy   Stockists: Garnier, Superdrug, Boots   Hubby bought me this when he bought the shampoo to keep my hair in condition as I have started to bleach it.  It compliments the shampoo perfectly with the light scent of coconuts.  After shampooing my hair twice and rinsing well each time, I remove as much water as possible and apply about a fifty pence piece size of conditioner to my hair paying attention more to the ends rather than the root.  I leave it on for about five minutes then rinse it off.  Which is does without leaving residue.  Once air dryer my hair felt soft and nourished without feeling weighted down, it as less frizzy and no flyaways eith...

  Product: Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut & Macadamia Hair Food Shampoo   Who for: Anyone who wants to smooth and tame unruly hair   First impressions: Love the smell   After one week: Hair is less flyaway   After one month: Hair is soft and less frizzy   Stockists: Garnier, Superdrug, Boots   Hubby bought me this as I love the smell of coconuts and to help keep my bleached hair under control.  Even though my hair is short as in Pixie short it can still be frizzy.  It is rich and creamy.  The shampoo is a thick liquid that a small amount goes along way.  It creates a fine lather that cleans and nourishes each hair strand without leaving a residue, it also washes out easily.  I massage this into the hair and scalp taking my time the first use, then the just the hair the second time.  It is a great every day shampoo that looks after your hair.
