Mylee Gel MyGel Colour – Up My Street

Image
Product: Mylee Gel MyGel Colour – Up My Street   Who for: Anyone who loves gel nails.   First impressions: The perfect grey for me.   After one week: Perfect shine and no chipping   After one month: Not applicable   Stockists: Mylee, FeelUnique, Amazon   After trying various brands and shades I have found the perfect shade of grey for me.  This is my go-to colour and will be on my nails for the foreseeable future.  Not only is it the right pale shade but it lasts ages, is easy to take off and brilliant to apply.   Two coats are enough, and it does not streak.  Lasts more than two weeks and for me there is no glitter in it.  I am sorry but I am a woman of a certain age that thinks and feels that glitter is not for them be it in make-up or nail polish.  It is the perfect neutral that goes with anything and everything I am a person that lives in jeans, t-shirt, and hoodies.  This colour works brilliantly.  I will try other colours – maybe not as I love this colour

Dcypher Custom made foundation

Image
Product: Dcypher Custom made foundation   Who for: Anyone and everyone   First impressions: Looks too dark for me.   After one week : Sorry it is a no   After one month: Still a no   Stockists: Dcypher   Oh, I had some high hopes for this foundation.  But it is a big NO from me.  The colour was too dark or my liking, my skin did not like it.  I cannot put my finger on why it just did not work for me.  I tried it with a brush, fingers, and a sponge nothing made it look right.

BeautyPie SuperDose C C – Suite Rapid Action Power Brightener

Image
Product: BeautyPie SuperDose C C – Suite Rapid Action Power Brightener   Who for: Improving firmness, elasticity, reduce pigmentation, inhibit age spots.   First impressions: Smells like bacon flavoured crisps.   After one week: Can see an improvement.   After one month: Wish I had been using this earlier.   Stockists: BeautyPie   Why did I buy this, well that is simple I have heard about trans acid, and I you watch a lot of hospital programmes like me you will hear them mention it so if it is available to use in skincare why not also, I wanted to try a Vitamin C, so I got a product that combined both.  I started with four drops a day as part of my morning routine as I had not used this type of product before, and it had been a while since I had used a Vitamin C.  I used this amount for at least a week then I increased it by one drop for another week and now I use six drops a day after using the eye cream.  I will warn you that the smell is not the best I think

BeautyPie Uber Youth Super Eye Energy Peptide-Infusion Cream

Image
Product: BeautyPie Uber Youth Super Eye Energy Peptide-Infusion Cream   Who for: For visible wrinkle smoothing, reducing puffiness,   First impressions: Love the texture.   After one week: Eye area looks so much better.   After one month: Can see a difference in the eye area.   Stockists: BeautyPie   OK.  This is the first proper eye cream I have used in a while and thought that it was about time as wearing a mask when out and about have made me aware of how my eyes look.  I thought wearing glasses covered it, but it does not.  I noticed an improvement in the texture of the skin under my eyes.  Yes, I only apply it to under eye area at the moment as I am applying serum for my brows.  A small amount goes along way and is a gel cream texture which my eye area loves and looks so much better with the use of this.  It is the first step after cleansing as I have found that I that I am less likely to forget to apply it or apply my moisturiser to the area if I do it f

L'Oreal Age Perfect Beautifying Colour Care

Image
Product: L’Oreal Age Perfect Beautifying Colour Care   Who for: Anyone who wants to enhance their grey.   First impressions: Looks OK.   After one week: Maybe should not have used with bleached hair.   After one month: Not for me   Stockists: Boots, Amazon, Asda, Loreal Paris, Superdrug   So, I will be totally honest here that the lockdowns have had an impact on my mental health in a bad way and the way I dealt with it was to shave my hair o and start bleaching it then using semi-permanent dyes to change the colour.  This was another way to change my colour and try to embrace my grey hair.  Bu it did not work for me which was a shame.  My hair looked OK.  I just think that it should not be used on bleached hair but hair that is going grey naturally.
