Prep and Prime Fix + Original (Mini) Who for: Anyone who wants to make sure that their makeup lasts all day First impressions: Smells nice After one week: Makeup looks perfect After one month: Stays put even in the heat or rain Stockists: MAC Cosmetics, Boots, John Lewis This was part of the Summer Vibes Kit that was exclusively available at Boots.  I must admit that I have never used a setting spray before this one so cannot compare it to others.  I have tried this spray in various ways such as spraying it before powdering or concealer as well as after applying my makeup and I can hand on heart say that my makeup lasts.  If I use it before applying powder etc I would wait a few seconds for it to ‘dry’ before continuing. I have also sprayed a shadow brush with it to enhance the Amber Lights shadow to give it a shinier look.  This is more than a setting spray, and everyone should have one.

Extended Play Gigablack Mascara Who for: Anyone and everyone First impressions: Narrow bristle brush After one week: Brilliant everyday mascara After one month: Maybe my new go to  Stockists: MAC Cosmetics, Boots, John Lewis This was the mascara included in the Summer Vibes Kit exclusively available at Boots.  I am used to using a rubber brush with my mascara rather than a bristle brush.  This is a brilliant brush that coats every lash and separates them.  It does not clump, drop, or smudge.  Even when I am using my eye drops.  It is great everyday mascara as it gives definition to your lashes.  I think I will be replacing my Benefit Badgal Bang with this.

Eyeshadow Amber Lights Who for: Anyone and everyone First impressions: Very shimmery After one week: Perfect for everyday wear After one month: So adaptable Stockists: MAC Cosmetics, Boots, John Lewis This was one of the products from the Summer Vibes Kit from MAC only available at Boots.  I am very wary of wearing eye shadows – the drop off getting into my eyes as they can irritate my eyes.  I was also worried hat as a woman of a certain age shimmery eye shadows on hooded eyes might not work.  I was wrong.  It can be swiped over as a single colour, or you can build the intensity of the colour to create a smoky eye.  It can also be used in the centre of the upper eye lid to provide highlight when used with matte shadows.  It can be applied using fingers or brushes depending on what finish and look you are wanting to create.

Satin Lipstick Twig Who for: Anyone who wants a perfect nude with a satin finish First impressions: The perfect shade After one week: Brilliant for whatever the occasion After one month: The most perfect lipstick I have ever worn. Stockists: MAC Cosmetics, Boots, John Lewis This was part of the Summer Vibes Kit from MAC only available at Boots.  This is the first lipstick that I have tried from M. A. C. and I am pleased with the results.  This is the most perfect nude for me, and the finish is just lovely.  My lips or I should explain the skin on my lips are very dry and every lipstick that I try makes them peel.  Even if I have used a scrub before putting on any lipstick until this one.  No peeling and lasts.  This is the nude that can be worn with jeans and t-shirts, or smart casual or even that special work out that you wear when you want to seem confident in a situation that makes you feel unease.  The creamy texture of the li...

  Product: ELF Enhancing Lash & Brow Serum   Who for: Anyone who wants to improve the look of their lashes and brows   First impressions: Wish the brush was a spoolie   After one week: Improvement in how they look   After one month: Can see new growth in my brows and lashes seem stronger   Stockists: ELF Cosmetics, FeelUnique, Superdrug   I was sent this product to try from one of the many magazine beauty clubs that I subscribe to.  The only issue I had with this product was the applicator I would have preferred a spoolie rather than the fine brush.  Within one week of daily application during my morning skincare routine I noticed an overall improvement in the look of my eyebrows and lashes.  Within a month there was new growth in an area of baldness in my brows.  This is the best one that I have used so far and I will keep using it until I have finished it then re-assess the look of my lashes and brows...

    Product: ELF Lash It Loud Mascara   Who for: Anyone who wants mega volume that your lashes look fuller, bolder, and longer   First impressions: Strange Brush   After one week: Love the way, my lashes look   After one month: The volume   Stockists: ELF Cosmetics, FeelUnique, Superdrug, Boots   I was sent this to try from one of the many magazine beauty clubs that I subscribe to.  The brush is different to other mascaras I have used as the bristles are slightly further apart.  I can get into the inner corners without any problems, and they are emphasised brilliantly.  I did not notice any smudges or drop off, and I wore it when it was raining heavily and extremely hot.  It is a great mascara for everyday wear.

Product: Josh Wood Airbrush with tool   Who for: Anyone who wants to cover root growth.   First impressions: Excited to try.   After one week : Love it.   After one month: Love it.   Stockists: Josh Wood Colour   I was sent this as part of my order as I had joined their auto-delivery for the No 5 with Copper Gold Shot.   Which was a surprise and so helpful as I do not dye my hair as soon as I see the grey roots but every six.   This means I have an inch of growth.   This covers it perfectly and the brush helps blends the product in so that there are no hard lines.   This is a great product which I will be repurchasing, and the brush is the perfect partner.
